Last Tuesday, the Year 10 and Year 12 computer science students had the wonderful opportunity to visit Warhorse Studios, one of the biggest game developers in the Czech Republic. The visit consisted of two parts. In the first part, talks were delivered to the students about what it is like to work in a “game dev” company and the essential components of game development. In the second part, students were given a tour of the offices, including a visit to the motion capture studio, where all the character animations are captured using expensive cameras and reflections from small balls. Overall, the students seemed very enthusiastic about the visit.
