On the 11th November every year in the UK, people commemorate those who have died in the cause for peace and security in conflicts around the world. Poppies are worn and a service of remembrance is usually held. Every year, we and other international and British schools around Prague, are asked by the British Embassy if we would participate in the Poppy appeal. Poppies will be made available from the school office. These are not for sale but a donation is requested. The money collected for the poppies goes towards the welfare of ex-servicemen and their families.
