The Park Lane International School Model United Nations (PLISMUN) is an annual conference where students aged 13-18 simulate United Nations committees to discuss global issues. Held in Prague, Czech Republic, PLISMUN is organized by the students of Park Lane International School. The seventh edition, PLISMUN 2025, will take place from January 30th to February 2nd, and features nine committees tailored to both beginner and experienced delegates. This year’s event also marks a new partnership with the Council of British International Schools (COBIS).

We are pleased to announce that our Opening Ceremony will feature video messages from notable figures:

  • Pavla Gomba, Executive Director of UNICEF in the Czech Republic, will share insights into the humanitarian efforts and global impact of UNICEF.
  • Jakub Kulhánek, the Czech Republic’s UN Ambassador, will speak about the country’s role in the United Nations and current international priorities.
  • Matt Field, the British Ambassador, will offer perspectives on diplomacy and international relations from the UK’s standpoint.
  • Tomas Hustan, a lawyer for Arcidiecézní Charita Praha, will discuss the critical work being done in humanitarian aid and legal frameworks supporting these initiatives.

These messages will highlight the roles of their respective organizations in international and humanitarian efforts.

Guest Speakers in Committees:
In the International Maritime Organization (IMO), we are honored to host Dr. Petr Rožek, Executive Director at the Association of Forwarding and Logistics.
Representing the World Health Organization (WHO)Mgr. David Flak, Director of Foreign Cooperation at Arcidiecézní Charita Praha, will bring his expertise.
The Security Council (SC) will benefit from the presence of Nicholas Castellano, Assistant Regional Security Officer at the US Embassy.
In Environmental Affairs (EA), we welcome Barbora Chmelová from the Asociace pro mezinárodní otázky (AMO) and a researcher at the Czech Ministry of Environment.

These speakers will contribute valuable perspectives to the discussions within their respective committees.
