I am originally from Lincolnshire in the UK. I studied mathematics at City University in London and at first embarked on a career as a computer programmer. After a number of years in the industry I decided to change my career and pursue mathematics teaching. The start of my teaching career began at York university where I completed my PGCE in secondary mathematics and then spent a few years working in comprehensive schools in London. Although a long time ago now I still value these years in industry and early teaching career for the experiences they provided.
In 2009 I moved to Guangzhou, China to work in an international school, teaching the IB and developing my understanding of these programmes. More recently I have been working at Renaissance College in Hong Kong. I love teaching mathematics and I look forward to sharing my enthusiasm for the subject with the students at Park Lane International School.
Outside of school, I love traveling, cooking, running and reading. It’s great to be in Prague now and I am very excited to get to explore the city with my family and 2 dogs, finding the good running trails and sampling the local cuisine.
