I gained my Qualified Teacher Status, about twenty years ago after undertaking a PGCE in Primary Education at Sussex University and have an extensive range of teaching experience working within KS1 and KS2 in different primary schools in the South-East of England in the United Kingdom. For the last 15 years I have lived in Brighton and have taught locally in primary schools there. I loved the local connections and working within the school community in Brighton.
In August 2017 I joined Park Lane International School in Prague and worked in Year 1 at the Prague 5 Campus. In 2018 I
moved to the Prague 6 Campus where I became responsible for Year 1 Primary Leadership Team and I’ve had two great years teaching in a Year 1 class. From September 2020 I became the Learning Support and Inclusion Coordinator where my work will support all pupils in school and those with additional needs.
I am very passionate about the teaching profession that has enabled me to work within it. Teaching has kept me motivated, enthused, challenged and excited! My ethos as a teacher has always been to ensure that every child fulfils their potential and I support all pupils to develop their potential through teaching characterised by high standards and challenging, yet supportive, expectations. I am very keen to nurture and support pupils to achieve their potential by creating a stimulating curriculum and learning environment for the pupils to develop their skills, independence and self-esteem. I really enjoy the day to day running of a classroom and working with the other staff members, parents and the pupils to create a safe and happy school in which we all flourish and enjoy.
My spare time is spent with my family and friends and I love to read, write, walk and cycle.
