I studied secondary technical school in the field of Applied chemistry with pharmaceutical substances here in Prague. Thanks to COVID I had an opportunity to work in an analytic laboratory. My job there was preparation of water and dirt samples for atomic absorption spectroscopy and I also measured levels of mercury in these samples. I always loved the atmosphere of a chemical laboratory, even though it can be smelly sometimes. During my studies I also went for an ERASMUS+ internship abroad where I again learnt about new methods in labs.
After graduating I started studying pharmacy at Charles University, and I fell in love with work for the Czech Pharmaceutical Students Association. By the end of my studies there I was the Vice-president of international affairs which meant also being a Liaison secretary for the European Pharmaceutical Students Association and a Contact person for the International Pharmaceutical Students Federation. I represented the Czech Republic at congresses all around Europe and also around the world. I always wanted to work in education too, so I attended Trainers Development Camp, meaning I am now an IPSF Trainer of soft-skills and other.
I switched my university and now I am studying Biomaterials and Cosmetics at University of Tomas Bata. Thanks to my distance learning I can now also focus on my career and working at Park Lane is a huge opportunity for me. I enjoy working in an international environment where I can use my English and perfect my French and Greek. Unfortunately, I can’t use my Latin skills here since I do not dispense prescriptions anymore!
Aside from preparations in the lab I also love preparations in the kitchen – as they say the only difference is that in the laboratory you can’t lick the spoon after! And of course, after cooking and baking I always post pictures of it on my Instagram, where I also love to take photos of plants and the city.
