After gaining my degree from Edith Cowan University in Western Australia, I worked and travelled extensively throughout Europe, including 2 years of teaching in Yorkshire, England.
Upon returning to Australia, I was employed as a manager and a team leader/trainer for not-for-profit organisations. This experience provided fantastic opportunities to combine my teaching skills and interest in environmental conservation, whilst delivering essential job training for disadvantaged young adults.
I joined Park Lane in 2012 as the EAL specialist and the following year commenced classroom teaching. I am currently a Key Stage 2 teacher, subject leader for Primary Science and a member of the Board of Governors. I thoroughly enjoy the international, yet ‘family-like’, atmosphere at Park Lane and am continually impressed by the calibre of our pupils and staff.
Living in Prague has also allowed me to pursue my interests in biking, beach volleyball, skiing and travel. My next goal is to become proficient in the Czech language.
