I am originally from the North West of the UK, growing up close to Manchester and with extended family in Liverpool. I completed my undergraduate degree in History and American Studies at the University of Nottingham which included a year studying in upstate New York at Albany.
After graduation, I decided to follow in the footsteps of many other family members and began my teacher training in secondary history teaching. I taught in the UK for five years, gaining valuable experiences in schools in Wiltshire and London. In 2009, an opportunity to teach internationally presented itself and I left the UK to work in China. Since then, I have been working in IB schools, including the last ten years at Renaissance College Hong Kong. I have worked as a Head of Year and a Curriculum Project leader and outside of school taken on the writing of textbooks for MYP Individuals & Societies.
It is really great to be in Prague and working at Park Lane International School. Outside of work I enjoy going for runs, reading fiction and travel.
