Michaela Záleská

Teacher of Czech

I studied Czech language and literature at Charles University. I taught Czech to foreigners – children and adults, private and corporate courses. I was the head of the Czech section in the Amos language school.

When my own three children were born, I became more interested in different approaches in parenting and also in education. For 10 years I wrote a blog about play-based learning and project-based learning with inspiration for parents and teachers. I homeschooled my older two children throughout primary school – this allowed us to take family road trips where we explored European history and geography.
While on maternity leave, I completed my teacher training at the Faculty of Education at Charles University. I did my compulsory teaching practice at Park Lane and thanks to that I can work here today and be part of a Czech department.

In my free time I like to play sports (badminton), read and do handicrafts – if you see me with a hat, you can bet I knitted it myself.
