Originally from a small town called New Prague, Minnesota, I grew up always wanting to be a teacher. From the age of 16 until college graduation, I worked in an after school program, and loved working with young learners. I studied Elementary Education with a dual focus on children with special learning needs and literacy and language development. Soon after getting my diploma, I taught for a short period of time in a 4th grade general education classroom in Minnesota before moving abroad.
I moved to the Czech Republic in 2015, and have loved living and working in this beautiful city. Before joining Parklane, I taught in a variety of Educational organizations including tutoring EAL and working in preschools. I worked as the English class teacher in a couple Bilingual Private schools in Prague as well. I loved the challenge of teaching all the abilities of children in all of their coursework while helping them grow stronger in their ability in the English Language.
I am so excited to be a part of Park Lane’s Year 2 team and am very much looking forward to working with the children and the families of the school. I bring joy and fun to my classes and am so enthusiastic about all of the fun learning we’ll get to do together.
In my spare time, I love to travel to new countries and see the most beautiful places our Earth has to offer. In Prague, I enjoy ceramics, sewing and taking care of my many houseplants. I also enjoy the simplicity of spending time at home with my Czech husband, and our two cats Odin and Goose.
