In 2009 I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Environmental Science from Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri. After college, I worked in the field for five years. These jobs consisted of the St. Louis Zoo in the education department, The Missouri Department of Conservation tracking neo tropical birds and also as a chemist for a large corporation. I enjoy being able to utilize my scientific knowledge from these avocation experiences in the classroom.
I went back to colleage to get my Masters in Education (Certified in Middle School Math and Science) in 2012. Since then I have had the opportunity to teach in Missouri, Costa Rica, Taiwan and now the Czech Republic!
Teaching Middle School is the most rewarding position I have had. I love watching my students start to transition from children into young adults. These years can be very challenging for this age group and I enjoy being there to help them through it.
There are a couple things you should know about me. Firstly, I love animals, all animals but dogs, sloths and manatees are my favorite. My dog, Max has joined me in Prague! After, living without him in Taiwan, I could not be more excited. I am also an avid hiker – a hobby that is easy to maintain while living in Prague.
