I have been working at Park Lane International School since 2014. Over the years I have taken on a variety of leadership roles. Although I have taught other primary year groups, I have spent the majority of my time as a Year 6 teacher.
Originally from rural North Yorkshire, I completed a three-year English Studies degree and went on to study a PGCE at York St John’s University. Following this, I taught for three years in a Yorkshire village school teaching a whole Key Stage 2 class. This allowed me to gain extensive knowledge of all age groups in Primary.
I had always dreamt of living and working in a different country and I would now call Prague my home. I am very passionate about the city and particularly enjoy my “café” lifestyle, as well as activities such as horse riding and yoga.
I am a firm believer in the importance of developing a “growth mindset” and supporting children to become independent, passionate and enthusiastic learners. I feel very privileged to work with the children at Park Lane: it has been a pleasure to watch many of my previous students’ progress through school and watch them flourish into amazing young people.
