I am originally from Aberdeen in the northeast of Scotland, and while growing up I always wanted to become a primary school teacher. During my school years, I volunteered in local primary schools and helped out at after school clubs. I moved to Dundee to study primary education at university and graduated after the four-year course with a first-class honours degree. Studying for four years allowed me to work with a wide variety of age groups in the primary setting, as well as explore different areas of pedagogy and how to apply this within my classroom. I also completed a successful NQT year in Dundee, working with a primary 2 class, and I cannot wait to continue working with this age group at Park Lane.
I have recently moved to Prague, and I am looking forward to exploring this beautiful city. In my spare time I enjoy going out for long walks and going running as much as I can. I also play the piano and the cello in my free time and will enjoy the range of classical music concerts that Prague has to offer.
Moving abroad and teaching in an international school is something that I have wanted to do since the beginning of my studies, and I am very excited about beginning my journey at Park Lane International School. It will be great to get to know the children and families of the school and create a positive learning environment for my class.
