I come from small town in northern Bohemia called Most. When I was a teenager I discovered “The Book of Disquiet“ by Portuguese author Fernando Pessoa and I wanted to read the original. That is why I chose to attend the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk university in Brno to study Portuguese language and literature. Thanks to the Erasmus programme, I also had an opportunity to study in Lisbon.
As a translator I was a part of a biology project focused on the protection of rainforest biodiversity in Angola. This life experience influenced me a lot. In Brno, I was a teacher of Czech language for foreigners, and I translated from Portuguese to Czech language the last book of František Listopad, titled “Remington.“ Literature has always been an important part of my life.
In 2017, I started to working at a primary school in Chanov and I am currently studying Teaching and Special Education at Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem. In recent years, I have been a teacher of Czech language and Art at a primary school in Most. Now, I am honoured to be part of Park Lane school. I love creating a friendly environment in the classroom where children can share their own opinions and feel confident.
In my spare time, I enjoy various activities with my son Tadeáš, such as travelling, watching ice hockey, reading, or riding a bike. I also appreciate socializing with friends and listening to music.
