Although I am originally from Slovakia, I have lived in the Czech Republic since childhood. I first studied English and American Studies at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University, and then added History as my second subject. Even though I enjoyed my studies and had the chance to participate in international courses and organise several conferences, I gradually found out the academic career was not the right path for me. While still a student, I started to teach English for children in a Prague language school and later began to organise various arts and crafts activities for children in English, including some at Park Lane. I discovered my preferred role was providing the right sort of environment for children to learn in and develop their talents, rather than actual teaching, and therefore I welcomed the opportunity to join the
Park Lane office team. My hobbies include reading, arts and crafts (with a friend, we founded a small agency called Colourful Crafts which organises art programmes for children at various events), travelling, and sport (yoga, volleyball, in-line skates).
