Park Lane Floorball teams recently showcased their skills in a thrilling competition against other schools in Prague. Last week, our primary pupils took part in the highly popular ČEPS Cup tournament, held at Tatran.
The tournament featured a high level of play, with intense competition throughout. As the games unfolded, the pace quickened, and players faced increasingly skilled opponents. Advanced ball-handling, shooting, and passing skills were essential, while tactical strategies played a critical role in every match, making the experience both challenging and exhilarating.
The girls’ team delivered an outstanding performance in several closely contested games. Despite narrowly missing the final by just one goal, finishing 4th out of 8 teams, they demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship and camaraderie—qualities we deeply value and the reason we will continue to participate in such events.
For the boys’ team, the tournament presented formidable challenges due to exceptionally strong competition. Even our Park Lane ice hockey players discovered that excelling in floorball requires a distinct skill set and years of dedicated practice. While the boys’ team didn’t secure a victory, they gained invaluable experience, learned important lessons about teamwork, resilience, and fair play, and are eager to build on these skills in the future.
