Year 4 received a visit from writer Timothy Burdick, who read his new book The Ghost of Count Otto and the Pumpkin Wizard.
The children enjoyed listening to the story – which is set around Dusicky – and got the chance to ask questions. We found out that Timothy got the inspiration for his book when visiting a graveyard near his house and learning all about Dusicky traditions. We also discovered that it took two years to write the book and another six months to get it published. You need to be dedicated to be a writer!
