IB Diploma Results 2024

My colleagues and I are extremely pleased to report that all 55 of Park Lane’s 2023-24 Year 13 graduates successfully passed the rigorous and demanding IB Diploma Programme, achieving an average score of 35.5 points, which is 5 points higher than the global average for May 2024 candidates.

It is especially gratifying to see that 24% of our graduates achieved 40 points or above when only 11% of IB candidates worldwide achieved this impressive standard in 2024.  Moreover, 29% of our students scored 39 points or higher while 95% of the year group achieved 30 and above.

Readers who are familiar with the IB Diploma Programme will know that 7 points is the maximum score attainable for each of the higher and standard level subject courses. This year, Park Lane’s students achieved an average score of 5.73.

The highly industrious Class of 2024 was the fifth Year 13 cohort to complete the IBDP at our school and is also the largest group to do so. Since 2020, 192 students have graduated from Park Lane with the world-renowned IB Diploma and, more importantly, all the transferable knowledge, personal attributes and life skills developed throughout the duration of this demanding programme and across many years spent studying at our proud school. Interestingly, this year’s graduates are the first Park Lane year group to complete both years of the programme at our dedicated IB Diploma Centre in Úvoz, Prague 1.

The positive academic outcomes highlighted above are a true and fair reflection of the diligence, resilience and resourcefulness of our hardworking students – ably supported ‘all the way’ by our talented teachers.

Huge congratulations to all involved!” Paul
