On Sunday, November 10, 2024, members of the Park Lane student body, alongside dedicated staff, attended the Remembrance Day service at the War Memorial in Olšany, Prague. This event offered a time to honor and remember those who sacrificed their lives in service. Park Lane representatives joined the local community in a ceremony of remembrance, which included wreath-laying and moments of silence to pay respects to the fallen.
During the service, students stood together in quiet reflection, placing poppies in front of each headstone. Park Lane’s presence underscored a commitment to preserving the memory of this historical day, acknowledging the lasting impact of past conflicts. The event provided students with meaningful insight into the importance of remembrance, fostering a sense of respect and appreciation for those who served in defense of peace and freedom.
