Our Secondary campus at Valdštejnská site had the pleasure of hosting a delightful event organized as part of the British Chamber of Commerce’s (BCC) Equilibrium programme. The session, titled My Story with Nora Fridrichová, provided a fascinating glimpse into the life and career of one of the Czech Republic’s most prominent journalists. As the general partner of the British Chamber of Commerce (BCC), Park Lane International School was proud to support this inspiring event.
Fridrichová, renowned for her 18 years as host of the acclaimed TV program 168 hodin (168 Hours), shared her professional journey and the challenges she has faced as a journalist. Known for its incisive weekly event coverage, sharp interviews, political analysis, and global reporting, the program concluded its successful run last June.
Beyond her professional achievements, Nora spoke candidly about her personal life, particularly her role as a mother and her commitment to philanthropy. She shared the story of Šatník (Wardrobe), the charity initiative she founded, which supports single parents and their children by providing essential clothing and resources through community donations.
The event drew an audience of nearly 50 attendees, who were thoroughly engaged and contributed to a dynamic discussion that extended well beyond its scheduled time. Moments like these underscore the tremendous value of our partnership with the British Chamber of Commerce, fostering meaningful dialogue and enriching experiences for our community.
