Students of Y7 and 11 enjoyed the company of the Czech writer Petra Soukupová. She held two separate workshops: first for the younger students, where she read from her book Strange Kids and discussed the topics of genre, tone of the language and the challenges children sometimes face when talking to their parents. The second workshop for Y11 students was more interactive, with students working in groups on a short story. The author provided feedback on their work, and the group engaged in a discussion about it. Petra Soukupová clearly grabbed the attention of both groups and the students enjoyed the experience.
