Jack Simpkins

Teacher of Science

Hailing from the leafy county of Surrey, England, as a secondary school pupil I was interested in Physics and Music. This lead to me completing a Bachelors Degree in Audio and Acoustical Engineering at the University of Salford, Manchester. After working as a Loudspeaker Engineer and Acoustic Consultant, I found myself teaching Mathematics in an orphanage in Honduras during the Covid Pandemic.

After returning to England, I worked as an Assistant Teacher in a Primary School and went on to complete a PGCE in Physics at the University of Bristol. I have an enthusiasm for challenges and a love of learning I hope to instill in all his pupils. At home I’m always trying to solve puzzles or learn about something new.

I enjoy running having completed the 2023 London Marathon. I also enjoy learning about languages and trying to speak some. My favourite language is Spanish. I love music with a keen interest in discovering new music and practicing the guitar.
