For the past few years, I have been working as a PhD graduate in Molecular and Cell Biology and Genetics at the Biology Centre in České Budějovice, Czech Republic. There I gained profound scientific knowledge about the parasite causing the sleeping sickness disease, I learned many laboratory techniques, and met wonderful colleagues and friends. I have a Master’s degree in Biology – Biotechnology from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark and a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology from Sofia University, Bulgaria. As you see, I have been passionate about science and lab work all my life. Therefore, I am very excited to work at Park Lane International School as a science lab technician which allows me to continue in that direction.
I have always studied and worked in a multicultural environment while living in Denmark, Germany, and now the Czech Republic which made me more open-minded and compassionate than before. While studying in Denmark, I found another passion of mine – Bulgarian folk dances, which I still practice here in Prague being as a member of ensemble ‘Bulgari’. I enjoy all kinds of sports including snowboarding, Pilates, hiking and running. I also love spending time in the mountains with my better half and my two wonderful young daughters.
