Last week, Year 12 students took part in a workshop as a part of their learning in PSHEE. Dev Sharma is a lawyer, and author (God’s Island) and is currently doing a Ph.D. in Public Economics. He gave a very thought-provoking talk covering the links between gender and economic stability of various countries, feminism, equality and equity. He posed questions on how financial equity between genders could be achieved and what men could do to support equity for women. Students were very engaged by his presentation, staying behind to ask questions. They were able to see connections between some of his ideas and their studies in Economics, Psychology and TOK among others.
