On Tuesday, Year 9 took a train trip to Karlštejn Castle and we learned all there is to know about the castle’s history and Charles IV. There, we took notes on the castle’s traditional decor, fashion and furniture from the time of Charles IV.’s reign (along with a replica of St. Wenceslas’ crown). With this information, we will be writing travelogues, where we will describe our experiences and sights in the historical landmark. After touring the castle, we explored the town and visited a range of shops and restaurants, gathering useful facts, like prices and store hours. Currently, we are adding this to our more informative travel guides. Overall, I think it was a magical trip and I am looking forward to reflecting on it in our travelogues.
