How do 194 young mathematicians spend a blustery weekend in February? Solving close to 100 fiendishly difficult maths questions and meeting like-minded peers from all over Europe.
On8-9th February six Park Lane mathematicians: Ella M, Sanjay A. Igor Z (all from Y11) and Winston K., Pascal G. and Daniel C. (from Y10) represented our school at a prestigious ISMTF maths competition in Zurich.
Despite an exceptionally high level of challenge, the PL team A consisting of Pascal, Winston and Igor came 16th out of 64 teamsand Sanjay A. placed highest in the individual rounds and came 36th out of 194 participants.
What a fantastic achievement from a PL mathematician !
